For a few months now, I Arron (@razorianfly) and James (@HereIsJames) have been hard at work on a secretive project which involves both the Apple iPhone and iPod touch. Until now, we’ve kept things completely under wraps. Today though, we’re here to reveal a short but sweet taster of what you can expect ..
OC·CUR·RENCE an event, incident, episode or circumstance meaning something that happens or is about to take place.
Since we created the ‘#Occurrence’ hashtag on Twitter a mere 3 days ago, we’ve just had an overwhelming response from practically everyone. Some of this came in the form of you all trying to guess what I and James had planned, some in disappointment of the immediate non-availability of the project, and some in good old fashioned praise – and boy do you guys know how to guess! We had everything. From the dreaded flashlight, to social networking systems, to Twitter clients, an online based web app and even an online Chinese news site. (nice!)
Today we decided to launch cn-occur.com, and with it we thought we’d create for you a short teaser video which would categorically de-bunk a few of those guesses straight off – Well we couldn’t have you thinking we we were hyping a flashlight now, could we?
The site is solely based around giving you the chance to take to the spotlight, have a guess at what you think I and James are bringing to the market early next year, as well as showing you the current reaction to what we’ve released. Let’s start with what you know so far. You know it’s about the iPhone. You know it’s not a flashlight (I can hear you, screaming hallelujah!). You know it isn’t a Twitter client (Do we really need another one?), and finally – you know it’s about to drop sometime in January 2010.
If that has left you wanting more, don’t worry. You’re not alone, and we understand! Therefore, we’ve decided that we’re going to release more information on the project each week until Codename Occurrence’s launch in January next year. This means, each week from now you’ll learn just a little bit more about what the project is and how it involves you directly.
