Until today, we’ve never really had a place for you guys and girls to come and chat about the things you love, or just simply hang out …
Yesterday we launched The RazorianFly Community. The community is a place behind the initial fascia of the site which is home to a budding community of Apple fanatics and loyal RazorianFly.com readers just waiting to connect with you. At the top of the site you’ll now notice three new buttons. Profile, Activity and Community Chat. After logging in, these will take you to the heart of this new community.
In the first 2 hours of first making the service available to you, we were already 250 users strong. And now? The community consists of a whopping 414 of you. Registration is FREE and allows you to create our own personal profile which resides at razorianfly.com/username. Here, people within the community can see everything about you including a personal avatar or profile picture and even leave you messages or comments on your wall. You can return the favor and post on other peoples profiles, reply in threaded-conversation styles or keep up to date with all activity within the community by heading over to the Activity page.
The service works just like Twitter meaning you can @reply within status messages to get the attention of another member in the community. Don’t want to be social or prefer your profile to be private? You can do that too. Just tap ‘edit’ on your profile page under your profile picture and set the option ‘Profile only visible to friends’. Your community profile will then only be visible to those on your friends list. Oh .. that reminds me, you can friend people too. Already know someone in the community? Hit ‘Friend’ on their profile page to add them to your friends list. You can see all your friends by visiting this page.
On your profile page you’ll also find live chat facilities. These allow you to chat live to everyone who is online within the RazorianFly Community at any give time. We’re aiming for this to become a place for you and iPhone developers to hang out and chat about the latest iPhone apps, latest iPad news and other topics, without thinking you’re just coming to “visit another iPhone related blog”. Its an attempt to connect with you on a more personal level and find out just what content you personally would like to see from the RazorianFly team in the future.

Update: Community Forums Live
Registration to the community is quick and painless. All we require is your first name, username, gender and e-mail address so we can keep you up to date with postings to your profile page (you can tun this off, too). In the near future, registered members of RazorianFly.com will gain access to “Premium-Only” content which we’ll be trialing over the next few months.
