It’s no secret that Apple will be offering mutli-touch versions of their iWork suite, including Pages, Numbers and Keynote, at the launch of the iPad. Just as there are alternatives to Apple published apps on the iPhone though, it seems presentations won’t necessarily be limited to the feature set (and optional $9.99 purchase) of Keynote for iPad.
Founded by Dmitri Tcherevik, also the founder of the enterprise content management system FatWire, MightyMeeting allows entrepreneurs, lawyers, teachers, students and scientists to organise, manage and present investor meetings, product pitches and customer presentations to a large audience from a mobile device. The service is currently in beta and registration is free. Today, the company have announced the application will be making its way to iPad.
Below is a demo video of what MightyMeeting will look like on the Apple iPad. What’s interesting about this is it seems the app won’t just be confined to ‘Presentations’ like Keynote, but instead allow you to involve other users in your meeting, sharing video, photo content and more as you do so.
“Your smart phone is always connected. It has enough power to launch a space mission. It has a stunning high-resolution screen. Best of all, it is always with you. Use it to tell a great story whenever or wherever an opportunity presents itself. Make every meeting a MightyMeeting.
You reached an important milestone. You launched a new product. You have a great story to tell. You want the whole world to know about it. The whole world is on Facebook and Twitter. With MightyMeeting you can publish your slides to Facebook or Twitter with the flick of a finger. “
What’s even more interesting is MightyMeeting for iPad will allow people in the enterprise to control and pitch their idea or product to a mass audience, wirelessly. The app will allow users to stream the content of their on-screen meeting or pitch, live on MightyMeeting.com.
MightyMeeting the presentation tool is already available on the app store as a FREE application. It is so far unclear if the iPad flavour of the software will debut at the same price point.
