Well he might be a multi-millionaire, but that hasn’t stopped Hawk from letting the cat out of the bag on his debut self-endorsed iPhone title!
iFone Reviews is reporting that on March 12th, the star announced via his Twitter stream that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 will make its debut on the iPhone “soon”. Hawk, admitting himself that announcing the title via Twitter was, in the PR world, considered “going rouge”, tweeted confirmation the title was in fact coming to the platform.
“In the PR world, this is considered “going rogue,” but I’m too excited to contain it. This is real & dropping soon.”
“Right, down, circle #thps2foriphone”
Since the announcement the tweets in question have (unsurprisingly) been removed. However, the various screenshots and video footage tweeted alongside the announcement, remain.

No official release date has been set for the title, although you can bet with the cult following the franchise has, it will be popular. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 will mark Activision‘s second move into the App Store. Following Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies.
