The popular line-drawing game Harbor Master HD, developed by indie devs @Imangi Studios, is about to receive an update.

Mobile game-focused gurus @PocketGamer are reporting that as previously reported by the site on Thursday of last week, the studio submitted it’s first in-app purchasable content for the currently free, ad-supported game.

Today, PocketGamer revealed Imangi plans to sell this new ‘Pirate Passage’ map for 99c, €0.79 or 59p, and if it finds this method of bringing downloadable and expandable content to the game a successful one, will be bringing more maps to the game in the near future.

Called Pirate Passage, the map features three docks you have to manage but while you navigate the narrow island passages, you also have to fight off pirates, shooting them with your cannons before they can take over your ships.

The site also notes that this small in-app purchase when purchased, completely disables the game’s in-app ads, effectively allowing you to upgrade to an ad-free version of Harbor Master HD, for just 59p.
