You may remember last week we gave you the heads up on a major update coming to Google Reader client, Byline – version 3.0. Today, we’re pleased to report the update is finally available on the App Store. Well, nearly.
Originally reported to us by Joost Keesmaat (@joostf1), Byline 3.0 is now available for download. As noted by Keesmaat though, the update is so new currently, you must delete or remove any previous versions of the app, and re-download from the App Store, in order to obtain the 3.0 update. The update is now live, to update to as you would normally.
This new update includes the ability to both drill down and zoom in on specific site in the app with a tap, all from the main folders menu, and well as social integration in the form of @Instapaper, @Twitter and @Facebook support.
As well as this, the new 3.0 update also brings with it webpage caching for feeds with truncated posts. This basically means the app will intelligently detect posts which require you to hit the jump and instead download and cache the entire post for offline reading. Handy if your on the train or in the car.
