If you’re not yet familiar with Articles by @Sophiestication, the app provides a clean, simplistic way for users to surf the popular online encyclopedia @Wikipedia.

Stripping the reading experience back to basics, taking full advantage of the iPad’s large screen and boasting a beautiful interface, in the short time the app has been available the software has received critical acclaim from multiple sources.

Today, Sophiestication’s lead designer Sophia has posted various screenshots to social sharing network @Dribbble of a new hyperlink rendering engine for Articles, explaining that with this new method, people such as her mother understand the interface for in-article links immediately, compared to the current system used.

The new system as seen below sees in-app hyperlinks encapsulated in a cool rounded box. Immediately standing out to the user, but as Sophie explains less harsh on the eyes of the colorblind.

I’m experimenting with some alternative hyperlink styles for some time now. So far, this is something my mother does understand immediately. It’s also easier on the eyes to colorblind people.

No date has been set as to when the software will see this system implemented, with Sophie stating she’s still “experimenting” with the method.
