Sushi Go Round is featured under what’s new in the UK app store this week. It is a time management game were you are running your own sushi restaurant. You have to learn the recipes, prepare the tasty treats and most importantly keep your customers happy.
The game is part, time management and part memorizing, you do have to be quite good at remembering what goes in what sushi roll. The game is fast so you don’t have any time to sit back and think what ingredients you will need. When you first start the game you start with the tutorial but it is fairly easy to pick up as you go along anyway. To start with your customers appear in your restaurant, they will sit down and you then need to give them a menu. Once they have had a look a little picture will appear above their head and that is the item they are wanting to order. On your screen will be all the ingredients you need to make each sushi roll. There is also a recipe book, take a quick look to see what you need for what roll and close it back up again. Then you need to tap the ingredients for the one roll you are making. Once they are on the rolling bamboo mat ready you then tap it, it makes the roll and goes out to be served to the customer. You do this for every customer that comes in until the time runs out.
If you make a mistake when you make the sushi roll up, once you have tapped the ingredient there is nothing you can do to get it back. You just have to roll the mat and send the plate of mixture to be served but obviously none of the customers will eat it. The food is then just wasted. You will need to replace your ingredients when you run out, you have to do this by tapping the telephone, it then brings up all the ingredients you can purchase. You tap the one you would like and decide if you need it urgently or whether you can wait. If you are in a rush you can speed the delivery of the food so you can start using it straight away but it will cost you some of your daily earnings.
It all starts very easy but then as you get further into the game the customers start ordering multiple rolls and get angry a lot quicker. You can calm them down a little if they get too irate by offering them a drink. This works well when you have a lot of customers on the go at once. You need to keep an eye on who is getting what as well. The food goes out on a conveyor belt and only goes one way. If you get lots of customers ordering the same thing it will give it to the first person it reaches who asked for it, no matter whether they came in last or first so this really annoys the customers.
There are two modes to play, the story mode and the rush mode if you are just wanting a quick game. In the story mode you have a set goal each day and a time limit to do it in to get to the next level. Either level is fast paced and at times you might struggle if you dare to even blink!
The graphics are nice and the buttons are nicely sized, normally in games of this type you have small buttons next to each other that you accidentally tap. With Sushi Go Round this was never the case it was all very well laid out. The music is rather annoying but the sound can be turned off in the options.
It is a fun filled game that will definitely keep you busy for a few hours and most likely wanting a huge plate of sushi afterward!
