Fairly popular among the iPhone community already, and developed by Sykhronics Entertainment, Smiles on the whole is fairly simple game. Featuring cutely designed shaped characters, clean cartoon-esque visuals, 14 in-game modes and 3 colorful themes, Smiles HD for iPad is very much designed for everyone. Unlike other match-3 type games in its genre, Smiles HD is said not to have that “pressured” element. Instead, the game lets you play how you want to and at your own pace.
Dependent on which of the 14 modes you choose to play the game in, the game is very much like the match-3 games we all love, however Smiles HD differs to its competition by introducing the use of simulated gravity – and creating the matches you need to increase your overall score, is just a case of tapping!

“Zen” Mode in Smiles HD
This mode is inspired by patience games like Solitaire and Mahjong, and strategic games like Sudoku. Light up the board to win.
“Drop” Mode in Smiles HD
This mode is inspired by many popular puzzle games, but with a twist. Make matches, break Ice and Rocks to score points. Keep making matches for a combo. Twist and turn your way to high scores with real gravity!
We’ve not had a chance to play the game in full yet, however we should be able to bring you an in-depth review of the app, early next week. On first impressions though, this iPad re-jig of the title looks great.
