If your not familiar with eBoy, they’re a small German based graphic studio now known the world over. They’re particularly most known for their jaw-droppingly detailed pixel artwork, and the studio has yesterday announced its bringing a taster of this to both iPhone and iPod touch.
Their new app dubbed FixPix presumably short for ‘Fixing Pixels’, is a picture puzzle based app in which you use the iPhone’s accelerometer to move the various pieces of your surrounding environment until they correctly align. The app uses various pieces of the studio’s previous and current pixel art.
It’s hard to explain without you watching the video below, but FixPix is an application which may possibly the first of it’s kind. The app uses some sort of what can only be described as – magic – to simulate the 2D image pieces as ones which look and feel 3-dimensional. There’s also a flash version you can checkout on eBoy’s own website.
Watch the video below to see just exactly what I’m referring to.
According to eBoy, we can expect to see FixPix hit the App Store “soon”.
