Tune Runner Fusion – Lets Play to the Beat!

Tune Runner Fusion by is a great music drawing game that will have you tapping your feet whilst playing the game. It is a unique drawing game with a musical twist.

Developed by @Appy Entertainment the game is very easy to play. You listen to the music, draw the shapes and watch your new found friend Groov-EE running and dancing.

When you first start the game you choose what music you want to play in the background of the game. You can play the free song they offer Hallucinations, or buy one direct from the app. To be honest though there really is no need to buy any because you can use the songs in your iTunes library. So if there is a song that you really wanted to play along to, it is most likely you already would have it. Then get ready to play, you will see Groov-EE on the left running and all you do is draw the shape you see coming on to your screen from the right. If you do it correctly little Groov-EE does a dance for you and his health bar goes up.

Every time you draw the shape correctly, it goes green, with a green face appearing above him giving him energy, If it is wrong it goes red with a red face, he loses a bit of his energy and his health bar goes down. If he runs out of health altogether, the game is over – so make sure you try your best to keep it up and keep that little fella’ dancing. If you play the game to your favorite music like I did your feet will be tapping and you will want to boogie along to the game. Don’t let this distract you though!

The shapes have to be drawn with one continuous stroke other wise it won’t register as the shape. If you want to score higher try draw the shape multiple times. If you draw 15 shapes in a row you can enter the bonus stage for another chance of higher scores. There is lots to help you get a high score. All the shapes come on screen at different times and at different speeds and you just have to keep it up for as long as you can. You score points as you go and it can then be used on the OpenFeint leader boards to try and conquer the world! If you want to add to the challenge you can play one of Tune Runners popular songs and beat the high scores for that particular song.

There is only the one level but the idea is you play it with different songs, therefore you have unlimited gameplay as each attempt can be a different one. Needless to say the sound effects are fantastic, apart from the fact it plays my great taste in music Groov-EE makes some really cute noises. The graphics are amazing! The menu bar is in a neon blue colour and the scrolling background whilst playing the game is just full of colour and objects that move to the beat. I’m playing Baby Got Back at the moment, and the background is made up of little speaker amps blasting to the tune! Lots of things to try and get you distracted. Lets not forget Groov-EE either, he is an adorable robot that has cute little dopey looking eyes.

Although it is pretty repetitive gameplay, it is highly addictive. Not just because you will want to try playing with every song in your current iTunes library, but also because of the high scores you can share world wide and with your @OpenFeint friends. It really does make you want to play it over and over. A game that I always seems to come back to for more.
