Just in time for the launch tomorrow, UK television network the @BBC has today activated an iPad-compatible version of their BBC iPlayer catch-up service.

iPlayer Big Screen rolled out this afternoon is a new service that allows iPad users access to the previously inaccessible content, in an exclusively formatted way perfect for the iPad’s screen.

The popular service which allows UK users to catch up on recently broadcasted TV shows is now finally available on the iPad. Previous to today trying to access the BBC iPlayer from the iPad resulted in an “device incompatibility” error. The new version brings a more accessible and cleaner layout, designed specifically to take advantage of the device’s larger screen.

Check it out here.
