WebPresenter 1.2 Released – Now Has iPad Support

Lilliput Labs today announced the release of WebPresenter 1.2, an update to their website demonstration app introducing iPad support.

Described as the only website demonstration app on the app store, the app allows users to stream their rendered websites to another computer. Using the open VNC protocol, WebPresenter lets you wirelessly connect your iPhone or iPad to a computer on the same wireless network.

The website, rendered on your device’s browser, is then streamed over the network to the computer.

WebPresenter is the ideal tool for demoing websites to clients, or any large audience. Since the website is running on the actual device you’ll be able to demo device specific features such as a multi-touch interface, or geo-location. WebPresenter 1.2 adds support for the iPad, as well as support for landscape mode in the iPhone version.

Feature List:

– Embedded VNC server
– Streams over Wifi
– WebKit based browser
– Bonjour support
– Support for orientation changes
– Allows for bookmarking of URLs

WebPresenter 1.2 is available for FREE, with the free version of the app adding watermarks to the VNC images and containing advertising. To remove these watermarks and the in-app advertising, you can upgrade to the Pro version via an in-app purchase.
