We were first able to give you the heads up on @ReederApp for iPad when @Viticci of Mac Stories posted the first ever screenshots of the app back in late May. Today the highly anticipated RSS reader is now available for iPad.

Created by indie developer Silvio Rizzi, the highly anticipated reader app acts as a mobile client for @Google Reader, allowing users to browse their RSS items by feed or folders and fully manage starred items and notes. This update also brings along support for shared items and friends’ shared items.

The app has been highly anticipated for a number of reasons, but most prominently because of its easy to use, clean and crisp interface. Available now, Reeder for iPad can be downloaded for just $4.99. We’ll be sure to snag a copy soon and give you our opinion!

I've been using Reeder for iPad for about half a day now… I truly love this app!!

It works exactly as I would expect it to compared to Reeder for the iPhone/iPod touch. It exceptionally fast at syncing with Google Reader.

There are some complaints with the UI, but in my opinion, the UI is perfect. The toolbar running along the left side of the screen is pretty straight forward and the article stacks that can be “unpinched” like iPhoto to see feeds and articles inside is awesome.

This app is a no-brainer to buy. Especially if you previously has the iPhone version. If you have an iPad, Reeder for iPad is the perfect reader for the device. Especially if you read 100+ feeds.
