Unibet Predictor Game is developed by WebComrades and is a game designed to be played along side the World Cup 2010. It is as the title describes a predictor game where you have to guess what the final game scores are going to be.
Before you can start you need to register, once this is done and you have activated your account you are free to start playing. When you first launch the app you will greeted with the upcoming matches and any previous results. To start your predictions tap the prediction button at the bottom. You then find the game you want to predict, once you find it you then tap the flag of the country and keep tapping it until you get to the score you think they are going to achieve. You then do the same for the other team depending what you think they will score, then tap save and it will register your predictions and wait for the games to happen. You can amend these scores should you wish to right up until a few minutes before.
After you have done all this you are ranked in the league tables, another great feature is that you can create your own league tables for example with your own circle of friends. To create a league go to the league button at the bottom of the screen when the page appears press new league, you then just create name and decide if it is open to join or not and then save it. If it isn’t open to join it is then password protected. If you see a league you would like to join just tap the join league button and your rankings are then kept in with them.
The ranking button is where the list of players and their scores are kept. In leader order, this is where you will be able to see your overall ranking. When predicting in the group stage, for each match you get correct you get 2 points even if it is a draw. You can also get 1 point per team if you predict the exact number of team goals. For the second stage, the finals you get to earn double points. The results are determined after the full 90 minutes of the game including extra time and penalties. The app itself uses FIFA for all results.
The app does everything it says it should do in the app description, it is a basic app. The screens are clear through out, although at first it was hard to make out where the latest teams that would be playing were. All it took though was a few flicks of the pages and it was there.
For any WorldCup fan I am sure this would be a worthwhile app to join in on the fun. I’m not sure what use it will be after the World cup but seen as it is a free app you have nothing to lose trying it out now.
