Applications priced at 59p can sometimes be hit and miss. I have to admit by first looking at Plasma’s sample screenshots on the App Store, my first reaction was “here we go again … low quality graphics coupled with terrible sound effects” How wrong I was.
[Update] I’m officially blind. Your probably wondering why in the video it says ‘For iPhone and iPhone Touch’ – Why does it say iPhone Touch? – I really have no idea myself. -_-
Developed by GClue Inc, and new to the App Store, Plasma [App Store] is a highly polished, quite frenzied and in some ways addictive shooter.
Gameplay
Using your finger as a means of launching a missile, you must destroy various flying plasma globules floating out in space. However, there is a catch. There are two types of plasma, the good kind and the other kind. ‘Good’ plasma is identifiable via it being blue and red in colour, while the other kind (the kind not so good for you or your score) is marked in red.
Hurry though, if a globule of plasma manages to get past you and go out of view, your current score will take a dive. Hit the other kind of plasma? – and watch your score fall again. Game play becomes rather frenzied as Plasma notices you are gaining further in points.

Visuals
Although not ‘spectacular’, for 59p coupled with the inviting method of game play, the visuals of this title are satisfactory. They could be better, but I could say that for 40% of the applications on the store to date.
