Since the blog’s launch back in May of this year, it’s been a well known fact that we were not the fastest loading when it came to browsing from your iPhone and iPod touch. It was a widely requested feature to make RazorianFly mobile, since day one.
So tonight, we aimed to change the way you browse RazorianFly on the go, for the better … and we believe we have. If you visit RazorianFly.com from your iPhone or iPod touch from today onward, your likely to see something new …
You wanted it. We implemented it.
Yep, point Mobile Safari to RazorianFly.com today, and we’ll recognise your actually browsing from an iPhone or iPod touch. If that wasn’t enough, we’ll then replace everything you see normally, with this:
So, How are we doing this?
Well surprisingly it’s really very simple. I found this absolutely awesome WordPress plugin called iWiPhone – and if you’ve got a blog yourself, I highly recommend you check it out. Basically it uses a .PHP file to lookup and locate the browser identification tag Mobile Safari gives out when browsing. From here, we can recognise you are using an iDevice and the ‘iPhoneisation’ is simply switching you out from our premium ‘Fresh News’ theme, to a reformatted WordPress template called ‘iWiPhone’ created by ContentRobot.
All content is default streamlined to 320 pixels in width. But don’t let that stop you from turning your device into landscape mode, as … it supports that too!
We’re calling it RazorianFly Mobile. A fully fledged mobile version of RazorianFly. Pretty slick Eh? Also, if you’d like to add us to your home screen, we have a great Web Clip active right now. Just navigate to the blog and give that plus button a tap in Mobile Safari.
This service is exclusive to iPhone and iPod touch for the foreseeable future,
with support for other devices coming later down the line.

Q. How do I return ‘Home’ from within an article without loading the main URL again?
A. Simply Hit the word ‘RazorianFly’ on the blue header bar 🙂
Q. Whats with the post header images showing full size before they are compressed to 320px?
A. We’re not entirely sure. Presumably this isn’t something we can change, as the theme loads the image first, then resizes it. We’ll look into it.
Q. Is the commenting system still available?
A. Yes. Comments are still available as normal.
