The guys over at Antair Games, who are also the developers of Sneezies [App Store] have launched a competition with a twist. A succulent twist that is. Indie game developers the world over are taking to their kitchens, putting on their over mittens, swapping their keyboards for aprons, and baking cakes … but Why?
Antair Games Great Indie Bake Off 2008. That’s why. Yep, the contest to end all contests has arrived. So if your a game developer, or indeed not a game developer, and you can cook somewhat, go for it.
“The rules are simple, bake something inspired by your game or app, and post a picture somewhere.”
Now you probably would get involved for nothing right? But trust us, you won’t be — because If you win, you’ll be looking at bagging yourself all of this delicious App Store goodness:
– Sneezies (courtesy of Antair Games)
– PayDay Roulette & Up There (courtesy of Veiled Games)
– Nice List, Record, Note Pad and Telegram (courtesy of Polar Bear Farm)
– BurnBall (courtesy of Tim Haines)
… and if that wasn’t enough to make you go and buy some raising flour, ByteClub have donated $15 worth of US iTunes vouchers, AppBeacon have thrown in a further $25 in vouchers and Griffin Technology have thrown in one of their products — an AirCurve!
The contest will run until mid-Jan 09 after which Antair Games will pick a winner by means of a poll. So, What are you waiting for? Get involved! Bake CAKES! At the end of it all, if you don’t win, you always have your cake — and in this contest, you can literally have your cake and eat it …
Ok, that’s enough of the cringe-worthy cake gags ..
