Space Bikers is the new title from game publishers Chillingo. Featuring 3D platforms and bike simulation, and combining 3D visuals and physic based engines, you guide a miniature character around highly enlarged real-life objects.

Reminiscent of the flash-based game Trial Bike, Space Bikers is an entirely physics-based bike simulation. Space Bikers have crash landed on Earth and it’s your job to collect parts to fix their damaged ship.

Gameplay
Entering the game will give you three options. Play normally, have a ‘Quick Race’ or enter one of Space Biker’s ‘Mini Games’. As default both the quick race and mini game options within Space Racers are locked. This is because you must unlock them, by achieving to collect all the necessarily parts to re-build your ship. In game you control a bike. The controls are relatively easy to use but will take a while to get use to. Based entirely around the laws of physics, you will tilt and guide your bike around different real-life obstacles – careful though, rock your bike too much in one direction, and you’ll fall off. You might also just have to keep one eye on your head too ..

Controls
The game’s controls are set out on either side of the screen, and are fairly easy to get to grips with. On the right side of the screen are your directional arrows (forward and backwards). These act as acceleration for the bike. On the left you have three controls. The first changes the direction in which you are facing on the bike. The two arrows below this are your suspension controls. These will help you achieve height when objects obstruct your way.

Overall
It’s a respectable game, but in some aspects the game did feel chunky. I’m not sure if this is because of the physics engine used, or if this is a standing bug, but the game did feel a little sluggish in parts. However, the 3D environments used in the game are detailed and pretty life-like, and because of that we’re going to say Space Bikers is definitely worth a look ..
