  • Lumen for iPhone. – [Updated]

    [Update – 02.09.08] – (14.26pm GMT)

It seems Bridger has gone one step further. In an attempt to get people interested in Lumen’s new revised UI, he is now including it within the free version of the application, Lumen Lite! [App Store].

    [Update – 02.09.08] – (12.27pm GMT)

“Thanks for the coverage! Your review is great.
It is always cool to hear from someone who enjoys playing Lumen.

I have to give credit where it is due though. Adam Betts was the artist who redesigned the interface. To be honest I didn’t even give him any guidelines on what needed changing on the interface. He completely came up with everything himself. He spotted many UI flaws that Lumen had and fixed them without any instruction from me. He also was great about communicating his progress, delivering very on time, and charged a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.”

    Thank You,
    Bridger Maxwell

    [Updatex2 – Apparently Not]

    Recent Claims
Earlier in the month Kevin Rose, founder of Digg outlined what he thought the outcome of Apple’s September 9th special event, would be. Among the claims were a minor re-design to the iPod touch, bringing with it the addition of a GPS module. Also expected is a major overhaul to the iPod nano, bringing with it a more curved profile. Now all this is great, but the claim which seems to have been overlooked is the possible introduction of a monthly subscription option for iTunes purchased music. iTunes Unlimited …

  • Poll: How many of you actually own an iPhone 3G?

I’m just curious here. Apple announced it had sold over 1M iPhone 3G units over it’s opening weekend (3 days). If this is the case, by now, they should be getting pretty common-place. I personally haven’t seen anyone around Widnes with one, other than myself, but there must be others! – Come on, show yourself! … 8)

    The game does support “steering”:

“The game does indeed support iPhone “steering”. Once you have started a game, click the iPod icon in the upper left corner of the screen, and you can choose from one of three different playing modes.

    Enjoy!”

    Thanks JW (Comment)

    [Updatex2] – 30.08.08 (18.17pm GMT)

Ok, on first launch it sent the iPhone into a soft reset – but that’s not to say that was Gameloft’s fault, just yet, it could be instability with software 2.0. Secondly, the App Store description states you can control your car by steering the iPhone – based on the accelerometer. Now, it may just be me, but I’ve yet to find that functionality – Game play is currently controlled by touch gestures.

Has anyone been able to figure this out? – Maybe Gameloft can chip-in at this point? …

  • 2008 Trends: Stealing Content.

Chances are, now-a-days you have, or have had, your own blog or website to call your ‘own’. Now, I’m pretty sure if your serious about blogging, you currently spend hours on end trying to think of the next big thing, or next thought-provoking, slightly controversial article, right? – At the end of the day, you want one thing – Traffic.

In 2007, Nick La of N.Design Studio, showed how his vector creations had not only been publicly broadcast on two Bosnia & Herzegovina TV stations, they had been broadcast without his original permission or knowledge. I’m talking about a wealthy TV company here, who didn’t want to spend their own money investing in in-house designers, and so stole works from the internet in an attempt to create a TV spot on the cheap. Get this – he later found his own canvas prints printed out onto canvas’s and being sold in a local shopping mall! …
