  • Film Review: The Dark Knight (Why So Serious?)

    Batman is Back, with the Joker.

    So, over the weekend I went to watch one of the most anticipated, famed films of the year.
    Critically acclaimed to be the only blockbuster worth watching, and the action concealed within, by God did it deliver.

    Synopsis
    Bruce Wayne/Batman (Christian Bale) continues to eliminate crime in Gotham City with the help of Lt. Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart). The Dark Knight wants to finally get rid of organized crime for good and be free of their corruption. Batman soon finds that a new psychopathic mastermind known as the Joker (Heath Ledger) has taken over organized crime. After the fall of Carmine Falcone, the remaining crime bosses try to pick up the pieces. However, the Joker is killing them off one by one. The Joker’s plan is to terrify the citizens and throw the city into chaos, and then kill Batman. Batman takes the fight with the Joker personal, which makes him confront his own beliefs.   • Bejeweled 2: The excellent port from Pop-Cap Games, to iPhone.

    Bejeweled 2 for iPhone.

    Pop-Cap Games have been a solid source for truly great online games from the likes of Zuma, Peggleâ„¢ Chuzzleâ„¢, Bookwormâ„¢, Feeding Frenzyâ„¢ for quite a long time now. So it was no surprise to me and others when Pop-Cap came to the iPhone with Bejeweled 2.

    The Aim
    The objective of this game is to swap one gem with an adjacent gem to form a horizontal or vertical chain of three or more gems. Bonus points are given when more than three identical gems are formed or forms two lines of identical gems in one swap. Gems disappear when chains are formed and gems fall from the top to fill in gaps. Sometimes chain reactions, called cascades, are triggered, where chains are formed by the falling gems.
