  • Photoshop Tutorials: Creating that ‘Reflection’ Look … – [Updated]

Lately, we’ve been focusing on Apple and iPhone’s a lot, and although we do tend to primarily focus on Apple and App Store activity here (heck – this article is Apple related, sort of ..), we also like to cover other topics such as Design, Photography, Nature and Film. I’ve had a few requests recently from readers asking how I create the ‘reflection’ look we use on some of our RF marketing images. Today I thought I’d briefly take you through the steps to achieving this effect … (more…)

  • Polar Bear Farm Celebrates Turning the Big 1.0 – [Updated]

[Update] – This sale has now ended.

Today is the 1st birthday of fairly successful iPhone developers ‘Polar Bear Farm‘. Consequentially, you can now get all four of their applications completely FREE. • Now offering iPhone Icon Design

This Information is Now Out of Date. Please See RFlyGD.com for the Latest.

There is one major selling point which can be the difference in your App Store application turning over £670 a fortnight for you, or £4.50 a month. What is this selling point? – it’s icon. With the introduction of the App Store, and hundreds upon thousands of applications being submitted monthly, your application may sometimes get lost, or not get noticed as much as you’d like it to be.

  • A Brief Look at: Brightkite for iPhone

I have to admit I’d never heard of Brightkite until the application hit the store yesterday (is that bad, should I have known what it was? :/). I’m sure this was one of the intentions of the developers, to get the word out, so I’m not too worried, I’ll just pretend to be one of those new guys – you know the ones … I’ve gathered it’s a fairly popular social networking client which aims to use location API’s to let everyone know where you are, and if you choose, what your doing …

I was accepted into the beta phase and received my invite from them late last night.
Hit up the jump for our full look … (more…)

  • In Partnership with “The Apper”

  • TVPlus: Record to your Sky+ box. Wirelessly – [Updated]

Released just a few days ago, this is definitely one for UK and Ireland. TVPlus is in fact the first application on the store to offer and integrate Sky‘s ‘Remote Record’ functionality. What this means is, you can be out and about with your iPhone (or iPod touch), and as long as you have access to a Wifi connection, your one tap away from sending a ‘record’ request for your favorite movie or TV show, to your Sky+ box at home.

Sound sweet? – Well it is, for the most part.
However, there are a lot of downsides which go with it … (more…)
