There was a particular moment in the history of the iPhone when everything just seemed to click.
The App Store was still young. Developers were discovering what the iPhone could actually do. Twitter was becoming a daily habit for an ever-growing number of people. And somewhere in the middle of all of that came Tweetie.
Looking back, it is easy to think of Tweetie as simply another Twitter client.
It wasn’t.
(more…)RazorianFly was the first to report in the world that Tweetie 2 for Mac by Loren Brichter would exclusively launch with the Mac App Store, hours before the public launch of the digital store by Apple.
(more…)If you haven’t noticed, the new craze (well, kinda old now) on Twitter is that of Manga Avatars. However, WeeMee seems to be the future! WeeMee is a fully fledged, fully customisable character that you can share via @FaceBook, @Twitter and can even add the created WeeMee to contacts in your Address Book.
Only available for the iPhone at the moment, it is one of those applications that you need to use to see how beautifully designed it is. (more…)
Doing a simple search for “Twitter” on the App Store brings up thousands of Twitter clients, specific for both the iPhone and the iPad. I myself love my iPad, and use it mainly for emails, Twitter and viewing the web. Having the ability to pick and choose out of thousands of Twitter clients for your iPad though, can seem like a very daunting idea for most. (more…)
@Facebook has today updated its official application for iPhone and iPod touch to version 3.1.3. (more…)
Since the launch of the iPad, I was on edge trying to find the perfect Twitter client. The offerings at first were somewhat scarce but they are starting to come out of the woodwork. There were ones that looked pretty and were easy on the eyes, but lacked far too many key features for serious twitheads.
Others, were just plain ugly with a plethora of features that they used to distill the poor UI. Even still, there just wasn’t a balanced app available… until Osfoora HD landed. (more…)
Originally scheduled for release back in April this year, we’ve finally got word that Swift for iPhone was submitted to the AppStore on Friday 4 June. In case you’re unaware, Swift is an upcoming twitter client that promises to bring a new level of design to the rather crowded twitter client market.
Details are still a little sketchy and there is no sign of what the app icon looks like. But from the few images that the developers have shared over on their tumbler blog it looks pretty good.
Here’s the compete blog post listing some the features you can expect in the first release, as well as some hints at what future updates will bring to the table.
As the app is basically ready for submission i thought i’d make a wee blog post (blame @NateBoat) about what you can expect from Swift 1.0.
Bear in mind there are more features such as Downloadable Themes, Translation, @Gowalla, FourSquare, Venue, Archives, and @Facebook scheduled for later releases.
