  • Apple Pushes out 1.1.1 for Remote

We’re slightly slow off the mark on this one, but Apple a couple of hours ago pushed an update out for it’s ‘Remote’ application. Remote allows users to remotely control their iTunes libraries from an iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPod touch Generation 1, or the more recent iPod touch Generation 2. Being into movies myself, I’ve been watching this app very closely. After submitting feedback to it’s developers back in late September outlining the use of tacky UI elements and bugs which ultimately made the app crash, they finally released version 1.1.0 on the store. A stable, feature-full offering which is sure to give you all that trailer-goodness you so very much love and have probably been looking for … (more…)

  • Star Smasher or Venger?

Both looking suspiciously like Apple’s March event demo of Touch Fighter, Star Smasher and Venger are two competing products on the App Store, using the same basic concept, and taking advantage of the iPhone’s built in accelerometer. 3D graphics, 3D positional sound, and control of a craft using a 3-axis accelerometer – But which one of the two is worth plunking down for? … (more…)
