  • Advanced Preview: Zombie Mansion – [Beta 4 Seeded]

A couple of weeks ago Sean from SourceITSoftware tipped me off on his new adventure game, Zombie Mansion. Consequentially, he also asked me if I would design it’s icon for him – the artwork for which can be seen above.

Hitting the App Store shortly, Zombie Mansion is set in a maze-ridden haunted mansion filled with zombies of every variety. Your aim? – escape Zombie Mansion, alive. Over the weekend, Sean threw RazorianFly an advanced copy of the game, and agreed we could show it you before it’s initial release onto the App Store! (more…)

  • Apple Pushes out 1.1.1 for Remote

We’re slightly slow off the mark on this one, but Apple a couple of hours ago pushed an update out for it’s ‘Remote’ application. Remote allows users to remotely control their iTunes libraries from an iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPod touch Generation 1, or the more recent iPod touch Generation 2. It’s one of the slickest apps on the store.

Illustrated by Joe Snow and developed by Mobile Pie Ltd, Tap ‘N’ Slide is a fast-paced test of reactions, but not in the usual way. Usually reaction games consist of interacting with the application on a sudden change (for example, sudden colour changes) … (more…)

  • Trailers by xTeo

Being into movies myself, I’ve been watching this app very closely. After submitting feedback to it’s developers back in late September outlining the use of tacky UI elements and bugs which ultimately made the app crash, they finally released version 1.1.0 on the store. A stable, feature-full offering which is sure to give you all that trailer-goodness you so very much love and have probably been looking for … (more…)

  • Fuzzle: Do you Fuzzle?

Half price (today only) at $0.99/£0.59p, I take a look and Fuzzle, the chart-topping puzzler which took the App Store by storm. What was all the fuss about? How is it played? OK, it’s on sale, but is it worth it’s original price-tag? … (more…)

  • Classics: The Stylish eBook Reader, Now Available – [VIDEO]

[Update] – See Classics in action, with our brief video walk-through. Just added.

Let me first say I’ve never really been the reading type. I went through a spell while on holiday one year of picking up a book and not being able to put it down. The most prominent of these two being ‘Digital Fortress’ [Wiki] and ‘The Da Vinci Code’ [Wiki] by Dan Brown. Two amazing reads if you ever get a chance to look at them.

Anyhoo, for the purpose of this review, I last night bought Classics. Not because I like reading (although I can feel I probably will again, after using this app for a while), I wanted to talk to you about it’s clearly leading user interface … (more…)

  • Hot Pick: Liquid Pics [Briefly]

If you’ve ever want to make someone think their eye’s have left their body, or you just like the idea of turning your photo’s into a water like substance, then this is definitely the app for you. It has no real practical use, but it’s extremely well executed, and follows the one important factor of the iPhone’s design. Simplicity. (more…)
