  • Heads Up: Need for Speed Undercover

Get ready to race, as Electronic Arts are about the rock the App Store sideways, again – or so they say. This time, bringing with them one of the biggest gaming franchises ever. Need for Speed.

If you remember way back in September, we gave you a brief heads up it was coming – but it’s been a long time since then. When will it hit? Will it be better than Asphalt [App Store], Raging Thunder [App Store] and the recently released Speed Burst [App Store]? I certainly hope so … (more…)

  • iPhone Spotted in ITV’s The Bill – [Briefly]

I’m not even entirely sure if this is newsworthy or not, but recently I’ve seen the iPhone and iPod touch featured a lot of adverts, and it was quite interesting tonight to see a fairly major ITV (www.itv.com) drama blatantly advertise the iPhone. Hit the jump for shots. (more…)

  • Apple Pushes out 1.1.1 for Remote

We’re slightly slow off the mark on this one, but Apple a couple of hours ago pushed an update out for it’s ‘Remote’ application. Remote allows users to remotely control their iTunes libraries from an iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPod touch Generation 1, or the more recent iPod touch Generation 2. It’s one of the slickest apps on the store.

Hit the jump to find out whats changed … (more…)

Something a bit fun, and on-going. Tonight, I thought it’d be pretty cool to see which part of the world YOU, our readers, are actually visiting us from.

In association with Platial, developers of the location based app Nearby [App Store], you can now add your location to ‘The RazorianFly Community’ map with just a few clicks. (more…)

Illustrated by Joe Snow and developed by Mobile Pie Ltd, Tap ‘N’ Slide is a fast-paced test of reactions, but not in the usual way. Usually reaction games consist of interacting with the application on a sudden change (for example, sudden colour changes) … (more…)

  • iPhone Vs Storm: The Fight is Officially On [Updated]

When Apple first introduced the iPhone back in 2007, it was called by them and us, revolutionary. Apart from it’s 3-in-1 product appeal, it’s responsive touch screen was like nothing else then available on the market. It’s user interface was clean, reliable, readable and most importantly, easy navigable. As the months went on iPhone advanced with technology gaining 3G, and built-in GPS .. (more…)

  • Can a Blackberry do this? – Ocarina (VIDEO) [Updatedx2]

I just spotted this tonight, and thought I’d give you all a quick heads up on it. When you thought you’d exhausted every little thing you could perform with your iPhone, you find something you missed. There are many uses for your iPhone’s microphone, but this one is quite a bit different to the others. App developers have realised that the microphone can actually pick up air being blown through it, and this is the basis of Ocarina.

Ocarina developed by Smule is a 59p/$0.99 electronic synth flute for iPhone. Basically you blow into your iPhone, and use the touch screen to control the pitch of the sound by covering virtual holes -and if you thought this was just a fly-by-night gimmick, then think again … (more…)
