  • Hot Pick: FlipSide5’s Touch Hockey – [Updated]

Ever since the App Store launched, we’ve seen many developers attempt to design ‘the’ retro table hockey title for the touch platform. Many have tried, some have even (in my opinion) failed.

FlipSide5’s Touch hockey is one of the better titles.
Hit up that jump for more information on this pretty hot game … (more…)

  • Rapid Review: Plasma, An Addictive Shooter. – [Updated]

Applications priced at 59p can sometimes be hit and miss. I have to admit by first looking at Plasma’s sample screenshots on the App Store, my first reaction was “here we go again … low quality graphics coupled with terrible sound effects” How wrong I was. (more…)

    Original Article:

You’ve tried Asphalt 4: Elite Racing, you’ve tried Crog-Mag Rally and you may have even tried Moto Chaser, GTS World Racing and possibly Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart – but if you haven’t picked up Raging Thunder by Polarbit yet, here’s exactly why you should … (more…)

  • iPhone Ringtones, with GarageBand and iTunes Plus.

With the introduction of iTunes 7.7, Apple announced their iPhone ringtone service which consisted of you paying an extra 99 cents on top of the 99 cents it cost you originally to buy the full song. For that, you could pick your own section of an iTunes song you already own to serve as your ringtone. The idea being, for $1.99, you got both. Both a 40 second ringtone and the full track to listen to … (more…)

  • Beejive IM for iPhone Hits [Update]

Yesterday, the popular multi-network IM service, Beejive, released it’s native iPhone application. I picked it up after the sheer disaster I encountered with Mobile Chat 3. Probably the first impression most people will get from it, is that it’s quite a bit more expensive than it’s competition at £9.49, and you’d be right. Having looked beyond the price though, this application is very well designed and could actually become one of, if not the IM client for iPhone … (more…)

  • The Shambles that is Mobile Chat 3 – [Updatedx2]

    [Update 07.10.08 @ 12.21pm]

It seems in an attempt to hide the fact their product just doesn’t work, Saverio and Shaun have completely disabled the commenting feature on their blog. All previous comments are not longer visible and they have provided one mail box for comments, queries, suggestions and support.

    Utterly ridiculous.

    [Update 02.10.08 @ 13.43pm]

Update 3.1 (aka The ‘God’ Save) now available.
6 weeks in the making, and entitled ‘Bug Fixes’ not surprisingly it didn’t do a thing.

    Original Article:

Ever since I bought Mobile Chat 3 by Shaun Harrison on August 14th, I and many others have been following it’s progress and updates carefully. These also included following the developer’s text updates and status announcements at their blog tumblr.twenty08. After reading and monitoring the site for about 4 weeks now, I’ve come to the conclusion the application simply does not work. So the question is:

Why is Apple allowing this application to remain on the App Store? (more…)
