On Monday, we gave you the heads up<\/a> on our new iPhone client dubbed ‘RazorianFly Mobile’. <\/p>\n

Today, we’re announcing we’ve shipped Beta 1<\/em> and Beta 1a<\/em> to all 100 of our awesome testers. These builds contain support for iPhone and iPod touch devices running either 3.1.2, 3.1.3 or 4.0 (beta), although the software does not yet fully support 4.0.<\/p>\n

The app’s main purpose is to act as an RSS reader, bringing everything you love about RazorianFly.com, in a neat (and we like to think)<\/em> gorgeous package. As an added bonus, RazorianFly Mobile will act as a simple Twitter client, allowing you to login, tweet, see your avatar, followers and following, log out and refresh account details.<\/p>\n

A little over 3 hours ago, we released the first ever beta of the software, and we have to say we released it to some very welcomed congrats and praise. Of course, being the first beta, the release didn’t come without its critique, which we welcomed with open arms. RazorianFly Mobile isn’t fully functional (yet)<\/em>. In fact, its far from the final product. If you like, this is just a small taster of what’s to come. <\/p>\n

Some of the known issues<\/strong> in these first few builds include:<\/p>\n

\n– Some isolated issues with ‘Post’ view’s webViews<\/p>\n

– ‘Share’ button in ‘Post’ view doesn’t work (yet)<\/p>\n

– Text alignment of in-post text<\/p>\n

– Text wrap of ‘Post Titles’ is not functioning (yet)<\/p>\n

– Keyboard issues on OS 3.1.3<\/p>\n

– Contact form crashes on tapping ‘Cancel’<\/em>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We’re currently working in partnership with @Timstarockz and @MagicianSoft on beta 2, which should add more GUI elements and fix most of the other current issues currently being reported. <\/p>\n

Thanks to everyone who has sent feedback in so far. Checkout the new official account of the app at @RFMobile to keep up on the latest. We’re hoping to be ready to submit to Apple mid to late May of this year. At launch, RazorianFly Mobile will be available internationally, for the spankingly awesome price of FREE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At this stage we’re aiming at getting a new beta out to you guys every week, until release. We’ll see how that goes.<\/p>\n
