When it comes to Google Reader on the move, iPhone users have, so far, had little in the way of good options. One such app which is<\/em> looked upon as a good option though is Byline<\/a>, by Phantom Fish<\/a> … <\/p>\n

… and according to @Macworld, Phantom Fish the developers of the software are gearing to push out their 3.0 update<\/a>, set to be submitted to the App Store this week. So, what’s is new in version 3.0 of Byline? Well, the first change is you can now browse your feeds individually. This means you can drill down and zoom in on specific site in the app with a tap, all from the main folders menu. And social integration? Well, that’s coming too. In the form of @Instapaper, @Twitter and @Facebook support.<\/p>\n

As well as this the app will gain webpage caching for feeds with truncated posts. This basically means the app will intelligently detect posts which require you to hit the jump and instead download and cache the entire post for offline reading. Handy if your on the train or in the car.<\/p>\n

Users can control which feeds Byline should cache content for: all truncated feed items, all starred items, and\/or on a per-feed basis. Byline can cache each item\u2019s full page or pass it through Google\u2019s Website mobilizer service to save on time and bandwidth.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

All in all this update is set to include about a dozen new features, sure to keep your @GoogleReader experience on the move closer if not more enhanced than your current desktop experience.
