We’ve just received word from London based iPhone development studio @Origin8, that one of their flagship App Store titles will be FREE<\/strong>, May 7th (tomorrow). <\/p>\n

In association with @OpenFeint’s “Free Game of the Day” program, the company is announcing Sentinel 2: Earth Defense will be FREE (usually \u00c2\u00a31.79)<\/em> tomorrow only.<\/p>\n

Sentinel: Mars Defense is a 2D tower defense game which brings with it fully immersive 2D (but with sort of a 3D-effect) graphics. The game is centered around stopping \u201d\u02dcwaves\u2019 of creeps from reaching an end point. Along the way to aid you in this battle you\u2019ll have to use different powered space-like weapons, each with their own specialties and strong points. The aim is to destroy all alien lifeforms, before they have to reach a series of \u201d\u02dcgates\u2019. If your end defenses are destroyed, it\u2019s game over.<\/p>\n

The game’s features are as follows:<\/p>\n

\n– Specialised structures and units provide unique tactical gameplay.
\n– Use the landscape and destructible defenses to maximize the effectiveness of your weapons.
\n– Unleash the Sentinel’s incredible ship weapons system – if you’ve got the power to do so…

\n– Deploy mobile attack drones to harass the enemy and augment static defenses.
