The major difference in this version however is the app’s ‘Pond Editor’. Users can now create and manage their own themes for their pond right within Koi Pond HD, taking full advantage of the iPad’s faster graphics processor.

The user simply taps and drags elements which they want to add to their pond from the selection menu (seen left), allowing you to build the pond you want to touch. Each object you add can be fully customized in both colour and depth at which it appears in the pond. Unlike some of its competitors, Koi Pond HD will include more than just optional lilly pads, with the app also offering wooden rafts, old diving helmets and coins too.

With more variety of Koi to choose from and other visual options which further enhance the experience, we feel this update to Koi Pond for iPhone is going to be a welcomed one – and as noted by the developers in the video, this is just the beginning.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated as to when Koi Pond HD hits the App Store. Until then, enjoy the video above!

In August 2008, indie iPhone developer TheBlimpPilots released a little app called Koi Pond for iPhone and iPod touch.

Shortly after its App Store introduction, the app became the top paid application on the store, and held that position for a significant amount of time.

[3,2124,16
2788,1421,2789,1342
post-19536","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-app-store","category-entertainment-app-store","category-iphone","tag-koi-pond-hd","tag-preview","tag-theblimppilots","tag-video
["GET
