The user can then make ripples in the water using however many contact points of multi-touch they wish, creating an overall visually exciting and highly immersive experience.

On top of this, the ambient sounds coupled with the pond’s customizable dramatic lighting, really brings this 2D app to life. In the iPad edition of the app, you can now build the pond you want to touch, with each object being fully customized in both colour and depth at which it appears in the pond.

Unlike some of its recent App Store competitors, Koi Pond HD offers more than just the additional lilly pads to add to your pond, with the app also offering wooden rafts, old diving helmets and additional rocks, plants and coins too.

Here’s what we thought of Koi Pond for iPhone

Gameplay [rating:3/5]
Controls [rating:4/5]
Graphics/Sound [rating:3.5/5]

[rating:overall]

From the graphical representation of water, to the life-like motion of the Koi, Koi pond for iPhone is that of a masterpiece.
