Similar to Apple’s own ‘Genius’ technology which made its debut in iTunes 8, Appsaurus by @HelloChair is an App Store application recommendation engine. <\/p>\n

In a nutshell, Appsaurus allows users to find and discover new applications based on their current tastes or preferences. Think of it as your own personal encyclopedia of apps, with the ability to share your findings with others. <\/p>\n

The latest update, released this morning, adds the ability for the app to handle iPad app suggestions. This is huge. As noted by the company, Apple is yet to turn on their “Genius” app service for the Apple iPad, making Appsaurus the first iPad app recommendation service available on the store. <\/p>\n

If you want to, you can now setup Appsaurus to display only the iPad apps found on the store, from the ‘Advanced’ tab, further narrowing down your App Store search.<\/p>\n

Alongside gaining the ability to handle and recommend new iPad apps, version 1.5 also brings a new user “lists” feature. <\/p>\n

As Mike Jacobs of Hello Chair explains:<\/p>\n

“Appsaurus 1.5 also adds an amazingly simple “Lists” feature to organize the apps you find with it \u201d\u201d people found so many apps with Appsaurus 1.0 that a single list wasn’t nearly enough. Lists lay the groundwork for the pioneering social features coming in version 2.0.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
