{"id":21928,"date":"2010-06-18T17:30:01","date_gmt":"2010-06-18T16:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.razorianfly.com\/?p=21928"},"modified":"2010-06-18T20:46:45","modified_gmt":"2010-06-18T19:46:45","slug":"white-iphone-4-delayed-until-this-september-rumor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.arronhirst.com\/blog\/2010\/06\/18\/white-iphone-4-delayed-until-this-september-rumor\/","title":{"rendered":"White iPhone 4 Delayed Until This September? &#8211; [Update: Stock Shortages Due to Lack of Screens?]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arronhirst.com\/blog\/category\/blog\/breaking-blog\/\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Following the rumor of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arronhirst.com\/blog\/2010\/06\/16\/iphone-4-launch-delayed-until-july-5th-rumor\/\" target=\"_blank\">possible launch delay<\/a> to July 5th, a few minutes ago we got a tip from a Twitter user who claims the white model of iPhone 4 may have been delayed until September. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>If you were a part of the pre-order fiasco on Tuesday, you will be fully aware that the White model of iPhone 4 which was touted at WWDC10 was not available for pre-order. <\/p>\n<p>The reasons behind this move by Apple are so far unknown however industry experts claim the device could have encountered a manufacturing fault.<\/p>\n<p>Today, @MattAubrey is reporting that his friend in his local @VodafoneUK store claims the White iPhone 4 has been <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/mattaubrey\/status\/16480549429\" target=\"_blank\">delayed (at least in the UK)<\/a>, until sometime this September.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;@razorianfly Hi. Just spoke to a friend in local Vodafone shop. Hoping to start pre-orders Saturday. White #iPhone pulled till Sept.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Alongside the news of the possible delay, Matt was also keen to let us know that Vodafone stated they expect pre-order for iPhone 4 to start sometime tomorrow, <strong>Saturday June 19th<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[Update]<\/strong> &#8211; @MattAubrey just <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/mattaubrey\/status\/16492783472\" target=_\"blank\">sent us an update<\/a> on this whole &#8220;delayed&#8221; thing stating the his friend claims the stock shortages on the White model of iPhone 4 are in fact due to a lack of screens available to make the product.
