Today, the game is now available for download on the App Store.

Following their previous releases including; Abca, Orba and Enzo Dot, Aqueduct is an altogether new type of puzzle-based game which as noted by Trevor who profiled the game last week, sees both the puzzle sliding and pipe-connecting genres come together.

A clever concept, the game involves you the player moving various different cartoon esque bricks which contain tubes. These tubes should connect together to eventually create a continuous path for your liquid. Once ready and you’re confident there are no leaks, hitting the valve at the top of the screen will start the flow of liquid.

Here’s what we thought on first impressions:

Overall this seems to be a great little puzzle game, but it’s not without it’s little faults. The levels aren’t timed so there’s no leaderboards, local or global and no achievements that need to be unlocked, so if you’re that sort of game player you may have to look elsewhere. The only other thing that’s, well, not missing per say but would have been a great touch is the ability to create and share your own levels. This would have been the cherry on top of an already delicious cake and maybe if we beg hard enough we could get it in an update one day. Until then, there’s still plenty to love.

Available for download today, Aqueduct costs just £1.79 ($2.99).

On Sunday you may remember we profiled Aqueduct by Kieffer Bros.
