You can browse your library, jump between content and explore recommendations <em>without<\/em> everything feeling like a blown-up phone interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3 wp-block-paragraph\">And then there are those little transitions between the different positions of the Duo. The app adapts as the hardware changes, rather than making you feel like you\u2019ve suddenly switched to an entirely different device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-9-16 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Netflix on the iPhone Duo \ud83d\udc40\" width=\"422\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fnWNiaj7sxE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3 wp-block-paragraph\">That attention to detail is going to matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3 wp-block-paragraph\">Apple has already shown <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arronhirst.com\/blog\/2026\/09\/10\/iphone-duo-just-turned-the-dynamic-island-sideways\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">that iOS 27<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arronhirst.com\/blog\/2026\/09\/10\/iphone-duos-opening-and-closing-animation-has-the-internet-going-wild\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">on the Duo<\/a> can move apps around, split the screen, pair apps together and adapt to different orientations. Netflix is one of the first examples of a major third-party developer taking those ideas and actually putting them to work.
