Please See RFlyGD.com for the Latest.

There is one major selling point which can be the difference in your App Store application turning over £670 a fortnight for you, or £4.50 a month. What is this selling point? – it’s icon. With the introduction of the App Store, and hundreds upon thousands of applications being submitted monthly, your application may sometimes get lost, or not get noticed as much as you’d like it to be.

In an attempt to make you and your application stand out from the crowd, I’m introducing … iPhone icon design from RazorianFly.com.

Heh – What do you know about icon design!?
Whichever way you look at, there are three things an icon or logo needs to achieve:

Firstly, it needs to GRAB YOUR ATTENTION within approximately 3 seconds

Secondly, it needs to VISUALLY EXPLAIN what your application’s purpose actually is

Most importantly, it needs to look SIMPLE and PROFESSIONAL

Ok well, do you have design experience?
Of course. I’ve been into graphic design for almost 9 years now, and I’d like to very briefly take you through how I ended up here.

I first started out in Adobe Photoshop. I dabbled in this for about 3 years, and I’ll admit, I picked up some bad habits (as probably every teenager does at some point) – but you have to start somewhere right? As I slowly gathered the fundamentals of design and visual representation, I more recently moved into Illustrator. Adobe Illustrator is fantastic. It allows me to build and compose designs at a very high standard. With it’s ability to produce vector imagery, I can provide design for print or scalable designs at whatever sizes you want, for whatever purposes you wish.

—————————————————————————————————————————————-

Pricing & More Info
In completing the full process for you, from concept to final candidate,
I ask a one time fee of £25.00 per icon designed.

If you require for a font to be used, original fonts MUST be provided by you.

Once finished, what will I receive?
You may be wondering what size and types of files you are buying your design in.
When complete, and after payment, I will send you the design in the 8 following formats:

[x1] – 500 x 500 pixel (.TIFF)
[x1] – 300 x 300 pixel (.TIFF)

[x2] – 200 x 200 pixel (.TIFF, .JPEG)
You can use this size for advertising if you like

[x1] – 75 x 75 pixel (.TIFF)
[x3] – 57 x 57 pixel (.TIFF, .JPEG .PNG)

Other formats are available on request. All sales are final. Icon’s come as standard and do not include gloss or reflection. The reason for this is, when you put your application onto your iPhone or iPod touch, iPhoneOS is programmed to add this gloss and shine to the icon file, automatically.

PR Images
Finally, a glossy version of the icon, as a .TIFF, .JPEG or .PNG is available on request at £9.99. You may want to put this on your website or blog to promote your application to the world.

—————————————————————————————————————————————-

Accepted methods of Payment
Paypal (Electronic Transfer)

Recent
James from The Apper contacted me requesting a redesign of his ‘The Apper: News & Reviews’ icon.
