iPhone being restored to previous back-up made yesterday.

[Update] – 08.08.08

I’m pleased to report this restore resolved all issues … for now.

Original Article:

Ok, so my intention today was to get a full review up of the popular iPhone application ‘Radius’, after picking it up late afternoon yesterday. Unfortunately, things have just gone from bad to worse with the software on my iPhone. Therefore I apologise, and I will try and get that review up as soon as possible.

So, whats the problem?
Well, I’ve been noticing recently that even with the 2.0.1 firmware installed, iPhone is just way, way to sluggish. Apart from the menial problems I recently started experiencing, things have just started to malfunction, software wise …

For example today I plug-in to iTunes, that goes well, and all is dandy, but then the updates I’ve managed to get the App Store to download, are not synced. I received an error message which stated;

“iTunes cannot transfer the below items as they are not compatible with iPhone.”

Bad coding on the developers part, or entirely iTunes’ fault? – I think more obviously, the latter. What’s even worse is, yesterday, after downloading so-called ‘needed’ updates from the mobile application store, on the phone, and was faced with another message;

“This items are currently not available. These items will be available when you connect to iTunes.”

Eh? – So anyway .. I plug back into iTunes … and guess what? … I get the original error message for the same 11 updates.

As if that wasn’t enough, the phone went through a 5 hour spell were any application launched, would just crash back to the home-screen. Hard reset, after hard reset and nothing improved.

So just now – I’ve decided to restore the thing.

Hopefully this will resolve these issues. – Hopefully.

Bare with me, as I will try to have that review up by the end of tonight.

Cheers,
R-Fly
