A few weeks ago Patently Apple, a site specializing in documenting patents filed by Apple, revealed Apple may be working on a Travel-based application for it’s mobile operating systems.
Dubbed ‘iTravel’ the app will reportedly act as your check-in ticket, providing check-in systems worldwide with the necessary information to get you on board safely.
The announcement of this Apple patent a few weeks ago threw the travel industry into an immediate frenzy. Today, @9to5Mac reports via Patently Apple that Apple could now be going one step further with the app.
An advert in a local newspaper suggested to Patently Apple that Apple may be beginning to test iTravel with @AirCanada_com in Montreal.
“It appears that Apple is currently in the process of test marketing some aspects of iTravel with Air Canada in Montreal. The limited test market is covering five travel destinations: Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, Paris and yes, London ”“ where the travel summit is set to take place,”
