Reeder the popular Google reader client is on its way to the iPad. First screenshots surface.

Created by indie developer Silvio Rizzi, Reeder is a mobile client for Google Reader. Alongside the app allowing you to browse your RSS items by feed or folders, it also allows you to fully manage starred items and notes and has support for shared items and friends’ shared items.

Federico Viticci of Mac Stories has today gotten his hands on a pre-release copy of the unreleased app, stating it is a huge improvement to the iPhone client we all know and love.

We can’t share much now, but I’m telling you ”“ it’s way better than the iPhone version. Not because the iPhone app is flawed, but because Reeder on this new device just makes much more sense. The first beta we’re trying is fast (I mean it, fast) fluid and it’s beautiful to look at. I’m seriously impressed by how a single dev can put entire teams to shame when it comes to engine optimization and pure ideas.

I've been craving (CRAVING!!) this app since I got my pad. It's good to know I'll be satiated soon.
