Just a few hours after we gave you the heads up on a new preview video of Koi Pond HD, posted by TheBlimpPilots to @YouTube yesterday, the app showed up on iTunes for just £1.19/$1.99.
Sure we’ve seen the copy cats come out of the woodwork recently, Pocket Pond to highlight just one, but lets not forget that TheBlimpPilots’ Koi Pond was the first on the scene all those months ago on the iPhone, and today is now available for iPad.
Relaxing in its approach, the app simulates a realistic pond full of different species of Koi (fish). The user can then make ripples in the water using however many contact points of multi-touch they wish, creating an overall visually exciting and highly immersive experience.
On top of this, the ambient sounds coupled with the pond’s customizable dramatic lighting, really brings this 2D app to life. In the iPad edition of the app, you can now build the pond you want to touch, with each object being fully customized in both colour and depth at which it appears in the pond.
Unlike some of its recent App Store competitors, Koi Pond HD offers more than just the additional lilly pads to add to your pond, with the app also offering wooden rafts, old diving helmets and additional rocks, plants and coins too.
