While the argument of Apple making a decision to exclude Adobe’s ‘Flash’ technology from the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad platforms continues, one indie developer has managed to demonstrate that Flash isn’t the be all and end all.

Steven Troughton-Smith (@stroughtonsmith), also the developer behind Lights Off and Same Game among others has today posted a video to social sharing platform @YouTube.

In the short video he proceeds to demonstrate an entirely web-based version of his popular iPhone title Lights Off, running on Mobile Safari. With animations fluid, the demo could very easily be mistaken for running on Flash.

But, it isn’t.

According to Steven the demo is running off an Objective-C plugin he wrote for the mobile browser, claiming to have taken existing code from his other projects to achieve the outcome.

See Steven’s official blog for the source code. If this doesn’t prove that Apple’s mobile and tablet platforms can survive without @Adobe and Flash, I don’t know what will.
