About an hour ago video editing suite ReelDirector received support for the iPad.
The app which won best app on Apple’s ‘Rewind 2009’ promotion and also featured in the company’s recent selection of apps designed for creatives, dubbed ‘Creative Editing Kit,’ has today received iPad support in the form of a universal binary update.
ReelDirector, which was first popular on the iPhone platform, allows the user to create movies right on iPhone and iPad. By taking or importing video from an outside source in the case of the iPad, the app offers a drag-and-drop timeline, multiple text watermark styles and 28 pro grade transitions allowing you to turn your scattered video clips into polished movies in a very short period of time.
The iPad version of the application use the same UI as the iPhone version for the most part, with main changes appearing on the ‘Projects’ and ‘Trimming’ screens. Alongside iPad support, this update also adds the ability for iPhone 3G and iPod touch users to import videos into the app with the iPhone OS ‘Copy’ and ‘Paste’ introduced in OS 3.0.
ReelDirector which claims to be movie editing on the move is available on the store for £4.99, with version 3.0 being a FREE update to existing users.
