If you had any fears that the iPhone 4 would be in short supply – you can allay them now. According to @AppleInsider, the Cupertino-based company is gearing up for one of biggest launches since the original iPhone, piling up stock components for the product in their millions.
The site reports that chairman of Asia Optical Robert Lai this week revealed that the firm has been delivering VGA lens kits to the company for the purpose of the front-facing video camera since May of this year, stating that monthly shipments to Apple have been averaging out at 3 Million.
iPhone 4 is now expected to increase Asia Optical’s optical lens kit revenues by roughly 30%, Lai said, with this weeks report of 3 million lens kit components per month positioning Apple to sell 10M iPhone units in just 3 months, quite comfortably.
