We might have just been given another clue about what Apple is actually going to call its first foldable iPhone — and yes, it’s coming from another accessory maker.
CASETiFY appears to have referred to the upcoming foldable iPhone as “iPhone Duo” in a listing on its official website that has since disappeared; a name that immediately stands out given that Apple has never used it for an iPhone release before.
Of course, an accessory manufacturer mentioning a name doesn’t necessarily mean it’s confirmed.

Companies making cases and accessories often use internal product names well before a device is officially announced, and those names can sometimes be placeholders rather than the final branding.
But “iPhone Duo” is certainly interesting …
Apple already has a pretty straightforward naming system across the iPhone range, but a foldable device presents a new challenge.
Would Apple simply call it iPhone Fold? Could it become an iPhone Ultra? Or has Apple been sitting on a completely different name?
“Duo” would make some sense.
It immediately suggests two halves coming together, while also giving the device a name that feels distinct from the existing iPhone lineup.
And considering just how many accessory companies now appear to be preparing for this device, we’re getting dangerously close to the point where there may not be much left for Apple to reveal to us on Wednesday.
The name, however, might still be one of the big surprises.
So, is Apple’s first foldable really going to be called “iPhone Duo” — or is this just another case maker getting a little too far ahead of itself?
