If you don’t know already Apple CEO-lebrity, John Ternus, has tweeted again …

Just hours before Apple takes the stage for its September event, Ternus shared a bizarre 14-second video on X showing a spotlight slowly illuminating what appears to be a curved, almost translucent object.

That’s it.

A tweet with visual fanfare – @johnternus

No product name. No caption explaining what we’re looking at. Just a tiny glimpse of something Apple clearly wants us to notice.

Naturally, the internet is already trying to figure it out.

Theories range from a new iPhone camera feature to something entirely unexpected, with one possibility being a variable-aperture camera that could give the iPhone greater control over how much light reaches the sensor. (Barron’s)

And the timing is almost certainly deliberate.

This is only Ternus’ second post on X since becoming Apple CEO on September 1, making the decision to use his account for a mysterious product teaser particularly interesting.

What is it? — @johnternus on X

Apple normally doesn’t need to tell us much before an iPhone event. The logo, the invitation, the tagline — that’s usually enough.

But this feels different.

Especially on the day Apple is expected to introduce one of the biggest changes to the iPhone in years: its first foldable model.

So what exactly is John Ternus showing us?

We’ll find out in just about half an hours time.

What do you think Apple is teasing?
