Seeing the iPhone Duo next to an iPad mini really puts its size into perspective.
A new video shows the two devices side by side, and the difference is surprisingly small once the Duo is opened.

The iPhone Duo has a 7.6-inch inner display, while the current iPad mini has an 8.3-inch screen. In other words, Apple has packed something close to the iPad mini experience into a device that folds down small enough to carry like an iPhone. (The Verge)
That’s what makes the Duo click.
On paper, “a foldable iPhone” sounds like a massive phone with a folding screen. But seeing it beside the iPad mini makes the concept feel much more practical.
Open it, and you have a compact tablet.
Close it, and you’re back to a phone that fits in your pocket.

That’s the appeal of the Duo in one simple comparison: an iPhone in your pocket, with an iPad mini-like screen when you need it.
Of course, the $1,999 starting price makes the idea feel even more extreme. Apple isn’t positioning the Duo as just another iPhone. It’s trying to blur the line between an iPhone and an iPad mini altogether.
Seeing the Duo next to an iPad mini makes the whole concept feel far more convincing.
And having owned an iPad mini in the past, I have to confess: I can’t wait to try Apple’s latest personality-oozing hybrid.
