When Can You Preorder the iPhone Duo? — Here’s the Date to Remember

If you’ve been waiting for Apple’s first foldable iPhone, there’s finally a date to put in the calendar.

The iPhone Duo will be available to preorder from Friday, October 16.

Apple is giving the Duo a slightly later launch than the new iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, with the foldable arriving in stores the following week on Friday, October 23. (The Verge)

For customers in the US, the iPhone Duo goes up for preorder on Friday, October 16.

Apple has confirmed a starting price of $1,999 for 256GB, with storage options reaching all the way up to 2TB. (Reuters)

UK — October 16

Good news for those of us on this side of the Atlantic: the UK is also included in the initial launch.

That means UK customers can preorder the iPhone Duo on Friday, October 16, with the phone arriving on Friday, October 23.

Apple hasn’t made UK carrier pricing and promotions quite as clear yet, so if you’re planning to upgrade Apple’s online store will probably be the simplest place to start.

If you’ve already decided you’re getting one, I’d probably have the Apple Store app ready beforehand. This is Apple’s first foldable iPhone, after all — I wouldn’t expect stock to be particularly generous at launch.

The Duo starts at $1,999 in the US and opens into that enormous 7.6-inch display, making this one of the biggest changes to the iPhone lineup in years.
