iPhone Twitter Client Osfoora Is Coming to iPad, Soon.

After claiming to have tweeted from ‘Osfoora for iPad‘ in April of this year, tweeted out on the app’s official account @Osfoora, a little over 9 hours ago Said. M. Marouf the developer of the popular iPhone Twitter client tweeted he was nearly ready to submit the app to Apple, and just 3 hours later to Marouf’s surprise the app was “In Review”.

Osfoora for iPhone, which at first seemed to mimic the successful design and layout of Loren Brichter’s @Tweetie but has since received updates which gives it more of its own identity, became known as one of the few clients which could, if it wanted to, take Tweetie’s firmly set crown .. Well, until Twitter bought it, never-the-less the app was and still is respected.

In fact, we profiled the software in February of this year, with our editor Trevor stating:

“Overall, I really like this client, it’s not quite a game changer (or should I say Tweetie killer) yet, but there is definitely a lot here to love. I’m really looking forward to future updates that could potentially change this from a good twitter client into a great one.”

The new update to the app’s official site now depicts what us iPad users might be in for, with a full portrait press shot (above) and a future glimpse at what Osfoora for iPad is going to look like. From what we can see, the app has a visually dark look to it and seems to take some of its inspiration, specifically in reference to its UI, from @TweetDeck for iPad.

But, we’re not going to critically judge the iPad version just yet. We haven’t touched it, and making opinions based on an app we’ve never used .. well, that’s never a good thing. We’ll be sure to bring you a full first look of Osfoora HD as and when it hits the App Store.
