Wi-Fi Sync Drops From $9.99 to $4.99, Now Supports iPad! – [Update]

At the end of last month you may remember us giving you the heads up on a piece of software called ‘Wi-Fi Sync‘.

Simple in its approach, the application which has been written by a small indie developer to try and fix the glaring omission of iTunes not being able to sync data between any of Apple’s mobile devices, over the air, allows users to sync media to and from iTunes to their devices, wirelessly, without the need for their sync cables.

You fire up iTunes on your Mac, install and run the required separate application from Wi-Fi Sync, run the iPhone client – and hey presto!

Sadly Apple didn’t see the useful side, blatantly rejecting the application just a few weeks later.

But fear not, Wi-Fi Sync for iPhone, iPod touch and as of today iPad, is already available on the Cydia App Store. Of course, in order to gain access to Cydia you must first jailbreak your device.

This sale is set to end 7 days from today, so if you’re interested in what Wi-Fi Sync can achieve we suggest you get in quick!

[Update] – Alongside today’s sale announcement, the developers are also quick to inform us the software will soon support syncing over both 3G and VPN.

Thanks to Methodic Jon for sending this in!
